We're excited to announce that PRTG version 25.2.108 is now available in the stable release channel! This version brings several new sensor types that have graduated from their BETA phase, introduces brand new v2 sensors, and delivers important security improvements. We've also updated language files for German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Dutch to enhance your experience in your preferred language.

Let's dive into the highlights of this release!

prtg 25.2.108 is now available in the stable release channel

New: Sensors out of BETA phase

The following sensor types have successfully completed their BETA testing and are now fully supported:

*️⃣ SNMP UPS Status sensor
*️⃣ SSH Load Average v2 sensor
*️⃣ SSH Remote Ping v2 sensor

We initially introduced these sensors as experimental BETA versions with PRTG version 24.4.102. With this release, you'll also receive information about the v1 versions of SSH Meminfo, SSH Load Average, and SSH Remote Ping sensors, which are now marked as deprecated.

New: NATS Server Overview sensor

With this PRTG version, we introduce the new NATS Server Overview sensor right away without an initial BETA phase. This sensor connects to a NATS Server as a NATS Client to retrieve monitoring data and supports common NATS authentication methods.

If you're using Jetstream-enabled NATS servers, you'll see additional channels including:

🧩 Jetstream Memory Used (%)

🧩 Jetstream Storage Used (%)

🧩 Jetstream Memory Reserved (%)

🧩 Jetstream Storage Reserved (%)

New: SNMP Memory v2 and SNMP CPU Usage sensors

The SNMP Memory v2 and SNMP CPU Usage sensors are introduced with this PRTG release as successors to their v1 versions. These sensors were rewritten to ensure compatibility with the multi-platform probe, giving you more flexibility in your monitoring setup.

New call-to-action

New: SNMP Linux Load Average v2 and SNMP Linux Meminfo v2 sensors

The new SNMP Linux Load Average v2 and SNMP Linux Meminfo v2 sensors are now available for immediate use, bypassing the BETA phase. These sensor types succeed their v1 versions and have also been rewritten for modernization and compatibility with the multi-platform probe.

We've also implemented channel renaming for the SNMP Linux Meminfo v2 sensor to better align with the meaning and purpose of the Available Memory % and Free Physical % channels.

i Please note

With this release, we're announcing upcoming sensor migrations, deprecations, and discontinuations for certain sensor types.

For example, SSH Meminfo, SSH Load Average, and SSH Remote Ping sensors are now deprecated, and we'll migrate them to their successor v2 sensors with the upcoming PRTG release 25.x.110.

Additional improvements and fixes

This release includes several security enhancements, license handling improvements, and sensor fixes to enhance your monitoring experience:

✅ We've further hardened PRTG against potential Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities.

Improved license handling throughout PRTG, with more formats now accepted in the offline activation file.

✅ The SNMP HPE ProLiant Memory Controller sensor now supports additional lookups for systems using Adaptive Double Device Data Correction (ADDDC).

✅ The SNMP Disk Free v2 sensor now supports flash memory classification for disks reported with flash memory usage during sensor creation.

Notification and system fixes

We've fixed several issues in this release:

✅ A fix for notifications where settings for Microsoft Teams and Slack were cleared in certain cases.

✅ PRTG now lists the actual System ID in the Core.log and in the PRTG Administration Tool to help solve license activation issues.

✅ Fixed an Active Directory integration issue that occurred when the Active Directory server was not accessible, and you wanted to add a user group to PRTG. Now PRTG will display "Active Directory Domain not found" under Active Directory Group in the User Group Settings instead of an undefined Bad Request.

PRTG API v2 and New UI improvements

We've implemented new endpoints on PRTG API v2, such as /experimental/devices/{id}/move, which allows you to relocate objects within the monitoring structure via POST request.

Furthermore, we've enhanced the performance of the PRTG application server for larger installations and reduced memory consumption across all installations.
