New Default Icons for Your PRTG Maps

As an avid user of PRTG Network Monitor you probably already have used the map designer to create your own dashboards. It's a great way to present your data in a unique and customized way (see our customers' examples). When you present your monitoring data in the form of a map, which can be viewed by the whole IT team, other departments, or even your management, also the visual appeal plays an important role.

That's why with PRTG 15.3.19 we'll replace the existing default icons (PNGs) with newly designed SVGs for a better scaling. Their clean and flat appearance now reflects the well-known modern look and feel of the mobile world. Your already existing map will automatically be refreshed and benefit from the updated icons. As the technology switches from bitmap graphics, which is limited in its scaling capabilities, to a vector format, which allows you to continuously scale the default icons without loss, the look of your existing maps might be affected. Please check them after the update while enjoying the clean and fresh look of your dashboards.
