Have you ever desired a monitoring tool that gives you all the information you want about almost everything? Well, here it comes! With the new PRTG release 17.3.33, we are pleased to introduce the all new REST Custom Sensor.
This sensor is a powerful tool that goes far beyond standard monitoring. You can query any REST API that returns JSON or XML and map the results into sensor channels. And the REST Custom sensor is even smarter: it comes with an automatic detection feature for JSON or XML responses and creates suitable channels on its own!

We also deliver various REST configuration files for this sensor, so you can immediately see and try out what might be possible with your own REST Custom sensor. You can find the samples in the \Custom Sensors\rest folder in the PRTG program directory, including ready-to-use mappings for:
