Connectivity problems occur when devices on the network cannot communicate with other areas of the network due to hardware or software problems. With Network Monitoring, you can detect a connectivity problem before users or customers even notice it.
Connectivity problems include:
- Loss of connectivity - When a customer cannot access a hosted application or a user cannot access your network, your company's effectiveness is impaired.
- Intermittent connectivity - Your network resources may be accessible some of the time, but the connection is not reliable, or it is very slow. This can mean that your network is about to experience a major failure.
- Timeout problems - Timeouts cause loss of connectivity. Consistent timeouts indicate poor network performance.
